SYNERGY FOR THE VALORISATION OF THE TERRITORY

Discovering Alta Carnia in Friuli Venezia Giulia

The work of these territories focuses on creating local synergies in order to promote responsible and, above all, sustainable tourism, through experiences and activities linked to the history and nature of the places.

FROM ARTA TERME...

This small Alpine village offers much more than spas

At 442 m.sl.m, Arta Terme is a small village in the heart of the Carnic Alps, and has always been famous for its thermal waters, known since Roman times for their health and wellness benefits.
Today the modern spathanks to the source of the Acqua Pudia water, provides both care under agreement with the health system and a large wellness area with swimming pools and spas.

The tradition of wellness also extends outside, as the village offers many possibilities for those who are looking for a place to regenerate in nature and feel good surrounded by the emerald green of Carnia.
Stretched over 7 fractions and with over 40 km of valley floor trails of different difficulties, Arta Terme offers visitors the possibility of hiking, cycling and horse riding.

In the area, important archaeological finds of great historical and cultural value can be found and there are many activities and events that are organised, particularly those dedicated to the best Friulian gastronomic tradition.

...UP TO SAURIS

Naturally Relaxing

Sauris, called Zahre in the local language, is a small municipality in Friuli surrounded by passes and mountains. Its villages are situated between 1,000 and 1,400 metres above sea level.
It is said that this German-speaking community was founded by settlers from Austria, who brought with them the customs and traditions of their homeland.

The name of Sauris is linked to that of the lightly smoked raw ham PGI according to the traditional Sauran recipe. Ideal to accompany the ham is the local raw, unpasteurised and unfiltered beer. The vastness of the alpine pastures makes it possible to produce the tasty alpine cheese; also highly appreciated is the production of the sweet small fruits and herbs.

In 2022, the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) awarded Sauris the prestigious accolade of 'Best Tourism Village'.

Sauris is surrounded by unspoilt natural beauty, offering an ideal starting point for hikes in the woods, with spectacular views of Mount Bivera, Mount Rucke and Lake Sauris. The trails are suitable for walking, horse riding or mountain biking.
Sauris offers activity and wellness lovers a perfect combination of ancient traditions and extraordinary food and wine.
